Childrens Building and Babysitter

I am part of our children’s ministry. I help do the plays every Sunday morning. We built a new set for our next session. Pat, a guy who also is part of the children’s ministry, he has wanted to build a waterfall for a looooong time. So I had to write the curriculum around a waterfall, which I thought was soooo funny. We are going to be lost in the jungle trying to find the "right" tool to get out of the jungle. The tools are the tools you need to be a good Christian. The main idea is that you need not just one tool like prayer to be a good Christian, you need all the tools. So far it is going great. We actually have fish in the pond and live plants. It is awesome. Hats off to Pat, he did a great job!!!!

Hadley has gone to the babysitters every day this week so far, and I have two funny stories from the babysitter. I dressed Hadley in a dress to go to the sitter, because I want her to be able to wear all her clothes that she has. Austin thought that was crazy. When I dropped her off I told the babysitter if she gets fussy and you can't figure out what is wrong just change her clothes. Hadley sometimes doesn't like the clothes she has on. I think that the babysitter thought I was crazy. When I came to pick her up Julie said I thought you were crazy when you said to change her clothes to make her happy, but I changed her clothes and she quite fussing. I told Austin and he couldn't believe it, he said she is just like her mama, has to change her clothes 20 times a day.

The second story, Hadley loves to be swaddled, it calms her down. When I swaddle her at home she just laughs. She thinks it is funny, but she has never done that at Julies. But yesterday she did. Julie couldn't believe she went from crying to laughing when she swaddled her. She is a funny girl!!!!

Here lately Hadley has not been eating all her morning bottle, because she can't stop laughing. She just wants to laugh and play all morning. Austin said she is just like her daddy, she doesn't have time to eat in the morning, because things need to be done. ;)

Crazy Week

This week is so crazy for Hadley and I. This is her first week she will be away from me during the day for 4 days. It is so crazy to think school will be starting in a few weeks. Since I am starting a new job this year, I have a lot of planning to do, and I have barely started. Needless to say I am a little stressed about that. So I am taking Hadley to her babysitter Monday, Tuesday, 1/2 day Wednesday, and Thursday. I am so lucky I have such a great babysitter, but I am going to miss her during the day. I guess this will help me get through the beginning of the school year better. Although, I am so excited for my new job. To end the crazy week, we have a wedding on Saturday.
(I should be working and not blogging, but I wanted to post these pictures from the weekend.)

Hadley has been finding her fingers, thumbs, and arms to chew on lately!!!

Roping

Austin has practice roping on Tuesday and Thursday nights. So Hadley and I went the other night. She just loves to be outside. She just sits on the blanket and enjoys the outside. She is the happiest when she outside. Here are pictures of Austin and Garrett roping. Austin heeled a few last night, and he had an awesome heel shot. He caught the steer by two feet.

O, the looks she can give!!!!!

Lots of First

Hadley seems to be growing so fast. The other day she went to her babysitters, and when I picked her up, the sitter said she sat in the bumbo seat. I thought she was still too little to sit up in the seat. So I came home, and put her in the bumbo seat. Sure enough she could sit in it perfect. She loves to be sitting up and seeing everything. Hadley does not like tummy time. She just likes to suck on her arms and hands when I put her on her tummy. It worries me, because research shows tummy time is very important in development.

Hadley had her first ride on a horse yesterday. I think her daddy was more excited for that moment then Hadley was. She loves to be bounced on my knee, so I knew she would love riding Gray. I hope she loves to ride when she gets older. Maybe Gray can teach her how to rope. Her daddy won't have it any other way; he says all the time she will be the toughest girl around.

Hadley and Daddy

Hadley is really starting to develop her own personality. She knows her mama the best, but she really likes her daddy now. When he gets home from work in the evening and he talks to her, she just laughs. She also really likes Reese, Cade, and Cale. When she hears their voices and sees them, she just starts to laugh. It is so cute. Also, the other day when I took her to Julie (her babysitter) she would just smile when she heard her voice. She is growing up so fast, but I am so lucky to have all summer with her. Although, I can't wait to go back to work. I am not cut out to be a stay at home mom. (Although, I don't know how I ever got stuff done around the house working, because it seems my whole life is consumed with house work) I give so much credit to those who are stay at home moms.
Practicing the look she will give her daddy when she is 16!!!
Taking a little nap with daddy!

Freedom Celebration

This past Sunday was our Freedom Celebration at church. We had kid games, adult games, a dunk tank, cotton candy, pulled pork dinner, a live band, and a huge fireworks show. It is always a good time, but a lot of work; it is well worth it though. This year was Hadley's first year. So Sheree and I decided we needed to dress all three girls alike. We got matching dresses for Reese, Kapri, and Hadley. They all looked so cute. Hadley was such a good girl all day at the celebration.

Hadley had her two month check up on Tuesday. She weighed 11.5 lbs. (50%), 23.5 inches long (75%), and 23 inches for her head size (25%). She now eats 6 ounces every 3-4 hours. She has a nightly routine that she has down pat. She gets a bath at 8 P.M., drinks her bottle, and goes to bed at about 9 P.M. We swaddle her up and put her in crib, and she never makes a noise until about 5-5:15 A.M. She is just like her daddy; she gets up early and wants breakfast right away. The doctor couldn't believe she was eating 6 ounces, and sleeping 8 hours a night. She is such a big girl! She really doesn't like naps, but here lately she has been taking 2 naps a day.

Today is the first day she is spending all day with her aunt sissy, Cade, and Cale. I am sure she will have a good day!!!
