Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to a family reunion in Osceola and they had a pumpkin patch. Hadley just wanted to chew on the pumpkins. Iam sure that is due to her cutting teeth. Her nana found that she actually has a tooth coming through. It must be hard work cutting teeth, because she has been very sleepy lately.

Pizza Hut and baby food

Poor little miss Hadley Rae has not felt good the last few days. She has had a cold. So I got her a humidifier, and I needed to go to Walmart and get her Vicks vapor stream. After Walmart we went to pizza hut to eat. Well Hadley was very good until we got our food. She started to scream because she wanted our food. When we got home we gave her a breadstick and she was happy as could be!!!
I am in full gear making Hadley's baby food. I have it stock piled now. We dug our sweet potatoes and I have been steaming it and purée it. It is so easy. I don't know why more people don't make their own food.

Wanted: chute help

Hadley and I went roping with Austin the other night, and when Austin was done roping, he ran the chute. Well, Hadley wanted to help her daddy, so she did just that! I don't know who enjoyed it more Hadley or daddy!

CUTe

I bought this shirt for Hadley and it says CUTe in the elements from the periodic table. C-carbon U- uranium Te- titanium. It was only a dollar at the trading hands consignment sale.

Hadley had a sippy cup for the first time. She just chewed on it. It was funny!!!

Busy weekend

This weekend was a wild one. To start off on Saturday it was pouring rain when we were loading up things to go to Osceola. Then when we finally got in the truck, the truck would not start. But thank goodness it was just a battery wire. We had lunch at granny Barbs and then Lara's wedding, which was beautiful. Of course Hadley was a good girl, but way off her schedule this weekend. Then church Sunday and a reception for Brad. And Hadley was spoiled all weekend!!!!! Her nana and poppy spoiled and loved all over her this weekend and uncle Weston. Her nana gave her some punch and she loved it!

Grandparents Day and the farm

This Saturday was Grandparents Dinner at church. Hadley’s Nana and Poppy came down to go with her. We had lunch and entertainment. Then Hadley and I went to pick up Cale, and of course Cale wanted to go to the farm to ride Gray. But he settled with Snort, because he was already saddled. For the time Cale rode him all by himself. Later on that evening we played ball in the yard, but Hadley played with Dixie. Dixie loved it!!!

Baby Food

We now have started baby food two times a day, at lunch and dinner. The first thing I gave Hadley was bananas mixed in with her cereal. She loved it!!!! She sucked it down like a vacuum. She sure does love her food. Then I decided after two weeks to try squash, because I froze a ton from this summer. Well, that didn't go as well as the bananas. She hated it!!! She got to the point where she would put her lips together and kind of test taste what was on the spoon before she would open her mouth. After a few days I gave up on the squash, but I think I will reintroduce it later down the road. Austin said it was ok that she didn't like squash, because he does not like squash. I told him that was not how it was going to work at our house. Next I tried sweet potatoes. At first she didn't know what to think, but she finished off the jar. So hopefully she will grow to like them.

Hadley has this new trick. When she is in her jumper, she starts to fake cough to get someone’s attention. When she has your attention she starts to laugh. She is so rotten.
